Sleeping beauty

With Easter approaching I am starting to realize the sacrifice God made for us. He gave up His son for us... and who are we? We are sinners and not worth it. Nobody is worth that kind of sacrifice. He allowed Jesus to be mocked and tortured. And why? Because He loves us and He wanted to save us! Being a mother has opened my eyes to that kind of relationship. I can't stand the thought of anything happening to Haven. She is so precious, so beautiful. I would give up my life for her. And with my new understanding I thank God for His amazing sacrifice and His love. Happy Easter!

Mommy and me

Here is a rare glimpse of Haven and me. Usually I am behind the camera taking pictures of Haven or of Haven and daddy. It is amazing how quickly things change and it is not all about you anymore. Selfishness takes a back seat and your focus changes. It is automatic and easy. I love being a mother!

Funny faces

Here we were playing with our camera and Haven was hamming it up!

Hartman's visit

Terry's parents came down for another visit. I was so happy they were able to see her again. A lot changes from 2 weeks to 2 months. It is hard being so far away from Grandpa and Grandma. One thing that is great about technology is that we can chat on the web cam and they can see her that way. It does not take the place of being there, but it gets us by between visits.

Haven's 1 month photos- professionally done

We had Haven's 1 month photos taken professionally by a wonderful photographer. Here are a few of our favorites. The photo session was four hours long and with no diaper on Haven peed and pooped on me a few times. She cooperated the best at the end of the shoot when she was all tuckered out. We also took a four generations photo with my mom, grandma, Haven, and me.

Yes, it is that good!

I know it has been a while since I posted pics. A lot has happened in the last month. Haven is growing and changing every day. She is starting to grab at things and she is fixating with her eyes. The smiles have started coming too (those will melt your heart). She is sleeping happily in her own crib in her room. She had her two month check up. She weighed 10 lbs 10.5 oz and was 22.5 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for both. She also got her ears pierce. She looks so cute, but I highly underestimated how grown up it would make her look. I started work yesterday. It went fine, no tears or anything. She is now sleeping between 6 and 8 hours a night, which is heavenly. Here are some random pictures. I will try to keep them updated more often so I don't have to just throw pictures up on the blog all at once.
