Haven Rolling Over

She did it!

Haven rolled over for the first time last night. She did it three time in a row. It was so unexpected that we had run and grab the video camera. We caught half of the second time and the third time. I can't believe how proud I was of her. This is one of the first major developmental milestones, YEAH!

Baker our oldest dog may be the best dog you could ask for. He is gentle, loving, protective and loyal. He has been so good since Haven came home. He follows me around and always joins me when I go to check on Haven (no matter what time it is). When she cries he goes to check on her and he has even scratched at her crib when he didn't think I was getting there fast enough. While I am changing her diaper he sits or lays at her bedroom door and looks out as if he is protecting us. You can tell that he loves her and has accepted her as part of our "pack." Don't get me wrong, Roxy is good with her too. She sometimes will lay next to me while I am feeding Haven, but she does not have the family pack instinct. Most times she could really care less about Haven. I am sure that will change when Haven starts chasing her around. Then Roxy will be watching very closely for Haven... so that she can run and hide from her.

My dad use to call me sugar butt lips and I think it was because I had a large bottom lip when I was a baby. I imagine the nickname came because I stuck it out at times. Well it is obvious that Haven looks a lot like me, and it looks like she may have inherited the sugar butt lips too.

Easter

Haven and I came home from Phoenix on Saturday so that we could spend her 1st Easter as a family. She wore a pretty dress and was very good in church. When we got home she opened her Easter basket and after a nap she hunted for Easter eggs. We had a great time and when she is older we can't wait to teach her what Easter really means.

Trip to Phoenix

I came up to Phoenix last weekend because my best friend Trista had her first baby, Trevor. I also got to spend a lot of time with my family. We had a very busy weekend. First we stopped by Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. Then we went to Tim and Chantal's house and Chantal watched Haven while I went to the hospital to see Trevor. After that Mima, Haven, and I went to the mall for some shopping. She even got her picture taken with the Easter Bunny. The next morning we picked up Papa from the airport. He and Haven spent the morning together while Mima and I went to the store. We met Papa at Kade's baseball game. On our way home on Saturday we stopped by Trista's one last time to see baby Trevor.
